Talks With Turkey On NATO Membership Process Have Become Difficult: Swedish FM Linde
Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde said talks with Turkey on the NATO membership process became difficult after Left Party deputies raised the flag of the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Turkey, NEWS.am reported.
NATO talks with Turkey became even more difficult after the Left Party MPs raised the PKK flag. The Turkish media constantly covers this and similar events. Under Swedish law, we say that this is freedom of speech. But we think this is a very inappropriate situation for the government, Linde said.
She added that the last meeting of the delegations on August 26 was supposed to be held in Sweden, but was moved to Finland for a number of reasons.
