‘A very big victory’: Donald Trump on US midterm elections
Former President of the United States Donald Trump considers the results of US congressional midterm elections as his own personal victory albeit "somewhat disappointing," according to his post on the Truth Social network, TASS reports.
"While in certain ways yesterday’s election was somewhat disappointing, from my personal standpoint it was a very big victory - 219 wins and 16 losses in the general - who has ever done better than that?" he noted.
Earlier, a number of bi-partisan media outlets called the election results a big loss for Trump which may cost him a presidential nomination in 2024. The race is still close which may undermine the Republicans’ trust in Trump.
