Fight Against IS will be Discussed in Saudi Arabia
A military meeting in Saudi Arabia is planned for February 18-19. During the meeting the issues concerning fight against the Islamic State, the training of moderate opponents in Syria, plans for taking Mosul back from ISIL and measures that can prevent Europeans and people from neighboring countries joining ISIL will be discussed.
As Hurriyet informs, Turkey will also participate in the meeting and the country will represent Lt. Gen. Erdal Öztürk, the head of the Chief of Staff’s Operation Division. Turkish diplomatic sources mention that question whether Turkey will be engaged in any special operation against ISIL or not, will become clear after the meeting.
