Germans Protest Eurozone's Austerity Policies
In Germany 10,000 people gathered at Danziger Platz to protest against Eurozone's austerity policies, Sputnik News reports.
German policemen were forced to use gases and water cannons, in the result of which several demonstrators were injured .
"Activists who wore NBC masks have released corrosive liquids or irritant gases at Danziger Platz," Police Commissioner Gerhard Bereswill told the local FFH broadcaster, adding that some 80 officers were also injured.
The protesters burned police cars and trash bins. In addition they also blocked the bridge over the river Main and a number of streets, causing traffic jams, Sputnik News reports
