Erdogan Faithful to the 100-Year-Old Policy of Turkey

Speaking at an event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, the Turkish president Erdogan made another anti-Armenian statement. He said that the "claims" of Armenians concerning the year 1915 is ungrounded, the Armenians were "only moved" from one part of the country to another. According to him, Armenian "gangs" have killed Turks in 1915.

Erdogan again spoke about opening the archives of 1915, "forgetting" that he himself bribed the authorities of Egypt to burn all the archives containing documents on the Armenian Genocide.

Once again, Erdogan deceived those present, saying that Armenia does not respond to Turkey's outstretched hand. "At the moment, 80 thousand Armenians, 40 thousand of whom are citizens of the country are living in Turkey. Let the Armenian diaspora ask whether their rights are infringed" – Trend quotes the Turkish President. Like hundred years ago, the Turkish leader uses Armenians living in Turkey as a playing card for their own policies.
