Atom Edoyan Won the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award
Canadian Armenian filmmaker Atom Egoyan won the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, Asbarez.com reports referring to CBC News reports.
As the source informs the winners included Walter Boudreau, C.M., composer, conductor and artistic director; Atom Egoyan, film and stage director; Diana Leblanc, actress and director; Sarah McLachlan, singer, songwriter; and R.H. Thomson, C.M., actor, director, producer and arts advocate. Together with the award, which will be given on May 29 in a special ceremony, the winners will also be given $25,000 cash prize.
