McCain Refuses He has Accepted to Participate in Ukraine’s Council for Reforms
A US Republican Senator John McCain refused the disseminated information that he has accepted a proposal to participate in Ukraine’s council for reforms, TASS reports.
"I was asked to do it both by Ukraine and Saakashvili and I said I would be inclined to do it but I said I needed to look at all the nuances of it, whether it’s legal under our ethics and all that kind of stuff," he said.
He also added that with great pleasure he would help Ukraine, but first of all that needs to comply with Senate rules.
This information spread after the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko named McCain as one of eight foreign members of the council headed by Saakashvili.
