Many Still Skeptical Over Iranian Nuclear Deal

None of the measures envisaged in the comprehensive nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers will be permanent, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister and senior nuclear negotiator said, Fars News reports. He declared that if the sides manage to sign the deal, then it will last for a specified period of time.

Referring to the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken’s remarks on the deal on the June 8 American Jewish Committee’s annual Global Forum in Washington, that the Iranian nuclear deal will not expire, Araghchi mentioned that this statement is mainly made for the internal audience and for satisfying the allies.

Less than three weeks is left for the deadline of the Iranian nuclear deal. Though there is some progress in the negotiations, there are still controversies over several issues. The question of conducting inspection in military facilities is still strongly opposed by Tehran.

One of the most discussed questions is also IAEA’s access to the facilities in the territory of Iran, the implementation of control over nuclear program, mechanisms of the possible recovery of the sanctions and control over export.

Some analysts are quite skeptical about the possibility of the final deal between Iran and six world powers that is expected to happen until June 30. However, the US Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken is sure that "many concerns are simply misplaced and are more myth than fact."

On June 10, another round of negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers launched in Vienna. As presstv.ir reports, the discussions will continue until Friday. The Iranian deputy ministers and the EU official are scheduled to be joined later in the week by P5+1 political directors.
