Electricity Tariff Increased in Armenia

The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia at a session held on June 17 made a decision to increase the electricity tariff by 6.93 drams. This decision, as Armenpress reports, will enter into force on August 1, 2015.

"The Commission, having many specialists, thoroughly studied the tariff increase application. Many expenses were cut in the tariff calculations, though it was impossible to reduce more than that from the point of view of providing a secure power supply. We are consumers as well and we are not pleased with this increase of the tariff too," the President of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Robert Nazaryan stated.
