Armenian Police Chief: Part of the Damage Caused to Journalists is Compensated
Armenia's Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan went to Baghramyan Avenue in the center of Yerevan, where the sit-down strike of supporters of the civil initiative "No robbery" against the increase in electricity tariffs continues, Panorama.am reports.
"I came here to see what is going on, to be sure that no unexpected things happen," Gasparyan said in an answer to a journalists question about his purpose for going to Baghramyan Avenue.
"You see how well it is, when, everything is in its place. Trash cans are cleaned. Everything is in its right way. Be peaceful, and everything will be fine," the head of the Armenian Police said.
Speaking to the demonstrators, Vladimir Gasparyan said: "Before opposing, stop for a moment and then move on."
Speaking about the material damage caused to the journalists, Vladimir Gasparyan said that part of the damage has already been compensated, the rest will be done in the near future.
