Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia: Strengthening of Our Homeland Must Become a National Concern for Our People
Aram I, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, has made a statement on the protests in Armenia against the electricity price hike, the press service of Antelias reports.
The statement reads:
"I don’t consider it right to remain silent in this situation. We are concerned. We are concerned because the strengthening of our homeland, the strengthening of our unity, the national demand to give a new lure, new momentum for our national demands, must become a national concern for our people. Armenia is not only land, Armenia is also and especially people with their state. We expect that the leaders of our people in Armenia will listen to our people, follow the expectations, needs, demands of our people. At the same time, we expect that our people will listen to the concerns, approaches of those in charge of the statehood elected by them."
