Turkey to Create a Buffer Zone on the Border with Syria
Turkey’s Prime Minster Ahmet Davutoglu declared that Turkey is ready to take "all measures" for protecting its borders and has already concluded the necessary preparations to this end, Hurriyet reports.
Davutoglu was talking about intervening into Syria to create a buffer zone between two cantons of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), which has created a 400 kilometer long border with Turkey. This, of course, worries Turkey as, it fears they are establishing a Kurdish entity.
"We take all necessary measures of our border and beyond for the security and for reducing the risks that would be posed from there [Syria]," Prime Minister said.
