Muslim Brotherhood Called for Revolution in Egypt

The  situation in Egypt has become even more unstable. The reason is the increase of tensions between the Egyptian authorities and the retired "Muslim Brotherhood" organization. The latter accuses the ruling regime for a "campaign" against its members. On June 16 the Egyptian Criminal Court announced its final judgment for the Egyptian ousted president and a member of the Muslim Brotherhood Mohamed Morsi. He was given life sentence for treason and espionage, and then was sentenced to death for the mass escapes from prison in 2011. Numerous organization representatives have also received various court rulings.

The Muslim Brothers announced that these judicial decisions have no legal force. Thus the violence renewed in the country. Bombings and assassinations take place almost every day. In response to the actions of the regime the Muslim Brothers called the Egyptian people for revolution to protect their homeland.

Some analysts are worried that these violations and assassinations may lead to the radicalization of the organization, because the younger members are adopting jihadist methods. It should be noted that the Muslim Brotherhood organization was founded more than 8 decades ago. At first its goal was the dissemination of the Islamic values in the Egyptian society. But soon after its establishment the organization turned into a political one. When Mohamed Morsi was removed from power in 2013 the organization was declared illegal, and now operates underground.

However, it is not the only problem that the country faces in these days. The Egyptian authorities are trying to resist the "Islamic State" terrorist activities in Sinai Peninsula. They say that during the last few days more than 100 militants have been killed.
