Happy International Friendship Day!!!
International Friendship Day is one of the youngest holidays in the calendar, Calend.ru reports. The decision was made by the General Assembly of the UN on April 27, 2011, at its 65th session (resolution 65/275). The Day is also intended to support the goals and objectives of the Declaration and Program of Action on a Culture of Peace and the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010).
"True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils. Strive to have friends, for life without friends is like life on a desert island... to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune; to keep him is a blessing," Baltasar Gracian.
