Specialists in 74 Professions will Obtain Russian Citizenship Much Easier

Russian Ministry of Justice approved the order of the Ministry of Labour on the list of professions for foreigners on giving them the right to obtain Russian citizenship by the simplified scheme, Izvestiya reports. In this way the Ministry of Labour wants to compensate for the most problematic job market specialists.

Initially, the list consisted of 211 professions, among whom were coaches, cheese makers, choreographers and teachers, but the final list was decreased to 74.

Now the benefits of acquiring citizenship can expect, for example, doctors, engineers, mechanics, Mathematicians and Directors on economy. They will have to work with their profession for 3 years, and then be able to request citizenship. Experts consider this a useful thing, but they say it will affect only a small circle of foreigners.
