Armenia: Training-Meeting for Media Representatives on the EU

On September 29 the training-Meeting "ENP Update: Opportunities for the EaP, Particularly for Armenia" took place in which newspapers, web media, TV and radio representatives from Yerevan and other regions of Armenia were invited to participate.

The Chairman of NGO "European Integration" Karen Bekaryan, who was conducting the training-meeting, in his speech referredto  the relations between the EU and six Eastern Partnership countries, their path of cooperation and present stage of relations. He also spoke about the peculiarities of media coverage and of public perceptions about those relations.

During the discussion particular attention was paid to the  EU-Armenia relations, their current stage, expectations and the perspectives of the development of these relations, as well as  to the possible role of media in the further development of those relations.

In the second part of the training-meeting the participants engaged in an active discussion and through answer and question session touched upon the analysis of the practical examples.

It should be mentioned that this training-meeting was implemented in the framework of the EU-funded project "Civil Society: Dialogue for Progress."
