Press Secretary of NKR PM: We Invite Azeris to Invest in Artsakh

The appeal of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan to the Prosecutor General of the Swiss Confederation for criminal charges against Vartan Sirmakes is a limitation of human imagination. This was announced by Press Secretary of Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Artak Beglaryan, noting that long ago he stopped to be surprised by the behavior of Azerbaijan.

According to him, this step of the official Baku is in line with the Azerbaijani logic and aims to maximum isolate Artsakh from international processes and investments, News.am reports.

Beglaryan stressed that Vartan Sirmakes is a patriot and a talented entrepreneur, who has achieved successes in the European business environment. For decades he has been implementing large economic programs in Artsakh.

"I advise our nimble neighbors not to have mercy upon Sirmakes but "honor" him adding his name into the black list for the production of black caviar in Karabakh. Since it is through his fault that Azerbaijan will be deprived of monopoly in the region on brilliant processing, " Beglaryan said ironically.

As for the statements of the Azerbaijani side that foreigners cannot carry out economic activity in Karabakh, since it is allegedly an Azerbaijani territory, Beglaryan reminded that their ship has sailed long ago, while they keep watching it go with nostalgia.

"Karabakh has never been an Azerbaijani territory, it is them that temporarily occupied our land. In addition, all are free to make investments in Karabakh, and the safety of investments is guaranteed by law of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, not of Azerbaijan. Moreover, we invite even Azeris to carry out an economic activity in Karabakh, if they are so jealous of foreign investors.  Our restless neighbors, come and invest, we guarantee the safety of your investments," summed up Beglaryan.
