Pope Francis Addressed Migrants at Vatican

Pope Francis welcomed several thousand migrants who have gathered at St. Peter's Square at the Vatican on the occasion of the day of refugees, BBC reports.

The Pontiff said that migrants are carriers of history, culture and important values, and urged them not to lose hope.

During the address, the migrants - including many asylum seekers - waved their nations' flags.

Francis has repeatedly called on European leaders to be hospitable towards people fleeing from war and poverty.
