We Can and Should Trust the Protection of Our Borders to Our Soldiers

As a country that is actually in a state of war, our soldiers play an important role in our life. Who are today’s soldiers of the Armenian army? "Armedia" IAA talked with military experts, who due to their work often communicate with those who are standing on our borders, protecting our fragile world.

A spokesman of the Armenian Defense Minister Artsrun Hovhannisyan in a talk with "Armedia" described Armenian soldier in one word - "a hero." "One can talk a lot about Armenian soldiers. I say this every day. The soldiers of Armenian army heroically performs their tasks. There are few armies in the world that have similar military readiness," Hovhannisian said.

The press secretary of NKR Ministry of Defense, Senor Hasratyan considers that Armenian soldier is the best in the world: "Armenian soldier is the best in the world and successfully carries out its military tasks."

"Today Armenian soldier differs from the participants of the Karabakh war only with a high level of combat readiness and knowledge. The military spirit of the Armenian soldier today has no difference from the spirit of Vardan Mamikonyan or winners of the Artsakh war," the chairman of the standing Committee of Defense and Security of the NKR National Assembly, Karabakh war participant Zhanna Galstyan said with confidence.

According to the adviser of the Armenian Minister of Defense, David Jamalyan to know Armenian soldier, one need to visit the state border, combat positions.

"Our guys fully acknowledge the responsibility of maintaining the country's borders right on the posts, standing face to face with the enemy and realize that if they are not at height, the enemy can attack, harm them and their military friends," Jamalyan said. He stressed that the soldiers become responsible when they are on military duty.

"Many believe that the 18-year-old young man cannot fight. This is actually incorrect assumption, as today it is the 18-year-old youth, who on the frontline suppress the sabotages of the enemy. Today we can enumerate many soldiers, who stopped the sabotage of the opponent in the recent years, saved the lives of their comrades," the adviser of the Defense Minister said.

"We can and should trust our borders to our 18-20-year-old boys. Armenian soldiers, Armenian officers should be considered as the most important people in our society," Jamalyan said.
