Psychologist: The Secret of Beauty is Being Loved

"Armedia" IAA presents an exclusive interview with senior lecturer of Yerevan State Medical University, psychologist Sona Harutyunyan.

- What role does love have in woman's life, and can it affect women's psychological health?

- Yes, love in a woman's life, and for her psychological health, in particular, is a fundament. There is no coincidence that various authors have repeatedly stated that a woman should be loved, not understood. Indeed, the emotional sector has an indescribable major role in woman's life, one might say, a woman's life, above all, is the emotional life itself. Therefore, it is important to maintain the emotional harmony for the psychological health.

- Let's talk about the modern woman's beauty. What is today the secret of beauty and how to achieve it?

- The modern woman is always busy, on the one hand, but on the other hand she has all the prerequisites to be smart, beautiful, and happy. This era gives all the options, but the question is whether she will be able to use them. Generally, standards of beauty are created by people, each era and society can have their own criteria of beauty. From psychological point of view, each woman is beautiful in her own way, and the beauty is inside each woman. So it is possible to become beautiful, it is only necessary to find your own inner beauty. Beauty is not restricted by external standards, it's the internal and external harmony. You need to understand your own personality, highlight the positive qualities and to love and embrace your own individuality.

- What is your message to women?

- The cornerstone of a woman's beauty and happiness is being loved. The key for the latter is the femininity, which of course is in woman's nature, but it is necessary to constantly develop and improve. So, dear women, regardless of your age and business, aspire to identify and realize your femininity. In this issue the appropriate psychological training can also help you. And remember, as Coco Chanel said: There are no ugly women, there are lazy women.
