"Armedia" IAA presents an exclusive interview with the Armenian representative of "Eurovision 2016" song contest Iveta Mukuchyan.

 

 

 

 

 

-  How did you receive the invitation to present Armenia in Eurovision? What did you feel at that moment?

 

- Although during the recent years in the context of Eurovision my name was being circulated quite often, I had an indescribable feeling when I received an official call from the Public TV and I was told that this year I will present our country at Eurovision, one of the most famous European contests. I was very happy but at the same time I imagined what responsibility falls on my shoulders.

 

- You are not only performing "LoveWave" song, but have written the lyrics yourself. How were the words born?

 

- Yes, I have written the lyrics of "LoveWave" song together with Stephanie Kratchfild. In fact, I had written several versions, but at the end we decided to choose this one. The whole song presents my inner world, feelings, the love wave that can infect everyone. The song is based on my feelings, emotions and suspicions.

 

-  What is the main idea of "LoveWave" song , the video and its message to the world?

-  In this sing I have tried to present the feeling of love with all its nuances and peculiarities. We are talking about a force that can change everything in an instant, causing a storm, confusion, and sometimes even bring peace and harmony.

"LoveWave" song describes how a phenomenon or a person can have such a big impact, that just within a few seconds can change the person and his/her life just as the first wave of the earthquake is able to move the crust. As earthquake can turn the world upside down, love can do the same with people’s hearts.

 

- What responses did the song and the video receive?

- I really do not follow Internet discussions, but I have heard some comments, mostly positive, which is encouraging and will help me to perform on May 10 in the best way.
