The Memory of Armenian Genocide Victims Commemorated in Istanbul

At Galatasaray Square in Istanbul Initiative "Mother of the Sabbath day" held an action dedicated to the Armenian Genocide, calling to look at the eyes of history. Participants of the event held photographs of prominent Armenians killed on April 24, 1915. During the campaign, the deputy chairman of the opposition Republican People's Party of Turkey Sezgin Tanrykul, noted that only after 101 years thanks to an Armenian deputy, the memory of the killed Armenian intellectuals was honored in Turkey's parliament. Armenian MP Karo Paylyan in his speech at the event said: "We demand the bodies of our ancestors, we want to put a gravestone. Here, the streets are named in honor of those who destroyed us. In each city lived Armenians. In their memory they did not even put the memorial in those cities."
