Germany Declared that the Then German Government Knew about the Killings of Armenians and did Nothing

The Federal Republic of Germany considers itself responsible to seek reconsideration of the Armenian Genocide in 1915, and to honor the memory, the resolution says adopted on Thursday by deputies of the Bundestag, RIA Novosti reports.
"The German Empire was the main military ally of the Ottoman Empire. The then German government knew about the persecution and killings of Armenians and still remained inactive, the Federal Republic of Germany considers itself responsible to seek reconsideration of the crime and to honor the memory…" the resolution reads.
