Switzerland to Withdraw Its Request for Accession to the EU
Switzerland will withdraw its request for accession to the European Union. This decision was made on Wednesday, in the Council of States – the small house of the Swiss Parliament, which supported the similar decision of Grand Chamber of the National Council adopted in March, TASS reports.
Switzerland submitted its application for membership in May 1992.
