Netanyahu Accused of Spending Public Money on Haircut and Makeup
Ronen Zvulun / Reuters
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was accused of spending more than 2.1 million shekels (about 542 million dollars) during the five-day trip to the plenary session of the jubilee session of UN General Assembly.
The most expensive was the cost of the flight to New York and back by El Al Airlines plane - 1.5 million shekels (387,000 dollars). The remaining amount Netanyahu spent in America, paying 1.6 thousand dollars for his hair and 1.75 thousand for make-up. Meals for two cost about 1.76 thousand dollars. It is noted that this amount does not include the expenses of Premier's wife Sarah, which, as suspected by law enforcement officers, are also paid for out of public money.
