The Supporters of BREXIT are Becoming More

catholicherald.co.uk

Less than a week is left to the referendum on the UK's EU membership, but the campaign is stopped in the country because of the killing of the UK MP Joe Cox.

According to a survey results, the British people are more inclined to vote for UK withdrawal from the EU despite economists' predictions that such decision could have serious economic consequences for the country. The Ipsos MORI last poll showed 53 percent would vote to leave and 47 to remain - the highest support for the 'Leave' campaign recorded by the pollster in more than three years. This survey confirmed results of the previous studies of other companies, which show that the number of Brexit-supporters began to grow.

The polls show that the majority of UK pensioners (52%) and conservatives (57%) supports Britain to stay in the European Union. Before, most of them were in favor of leaving the EU. For example, if 60 per cent of the Tory party in March was for the withdrawal from the EU, now only 40 percent is for Brexit.

The majority of the Scottish people are for remaining in the EU. The Scottish Government has repeatedly stated that in case of Brexit, they would hold a referendum on independence, which is quite disturbing for London. Experts explain the increase in the number of supporters for the "Leave" with the uncontrolled flow of migrants to the EU. Thus, more than 50% of survey participants believe Brexit to have a positive impact on Britain's migration system. Prime Minister David Cameron is also criticized by his supporters, because he failed to keep his promise to reduce the high flow of migrants to Britain.
