In Cold Weather It is Compulsory to Attend to Gym, because We Move Less: Fitness Trainer (EXCLUSIVE)

 

In the recent days, along with the weather change, to understand how to eat right and stay slim during these cold days, "Armedia" IAA decided to talk with fitness trainer Inessa Gasparyan.


- Inessa, what to eat during cold weather? What is more useful?

- In order to have a healthy and beautiful body you should eat 4-5 times a day with small portions. During cold weather, our diet should include more fruits and vegetables, which contain vitamins. For example, there is a pretty much vitamin C in Bulgarian peppers. Use also citrus: grapefruit, orange, mandarin, lime, kiwi etc. These fruits have quite a few calories.

Nuts, especially almonds, are quite useful and their oil contains proteins that are necessary for our muscles, especially vitamin E.  Use red fish, which is rich in proteins and contains vitamin A, E, D. Red fish also contains omega 3, which is useful for our hair, nails, heart and joints.

Try to use ginger every day, as it accelerates the metabolism, which begins with fat burning. Use pumpkin which contains vitamin T and K, vitamin C, B1, B2, B5, E, PP.

It is recommended to eat also onion and garlic. Onion lowers cholesterol and reduces blood sugar in our body. Our diet should also be rich with parsley, basil, milfoil etc.

Also use pomegranate, which has the amino acids needed for our muscles. Pomegranate is also rich in vitamins that we need in winter.

 

- Why do people get fatter during cold weather? Should we train in winter?

- In winter, people get fat because of less physical activity, evening tea with sweets and irregular meals during holidays. In winter the attendance to gym is compulsory, because we move less. It is recommended also to attend swimming pools and practice some yoga. Cardio and strength training can be combined in order to be more efficient. It is recommended to practice 3-4 times a week, for 30-40 minutes each time.

Drink at least 2 liters of water (pure water) daily and also drink water during trainings, as it helps to burn fat. Having some coffee and green tea before gym also helps in burning fat.
