Palestine President Participated in Armenian Church’s Nativity Celebration in Bethlehem
On January 18, President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas participated in the celebration of the Nativity and Theophany celebrated by the Armenian Church at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
As reported Hayern Aysor, Mahmoud Abbas also participated in the reception that Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fr. Archbishop Nourhan Manoukian had hosted earlier at the Armenian Monastery of the Church of the Nativity. During the reception, His Holiness first welcomed the presence of Abbas, after which the President of Palestine congratulated the Saint Hakobyants Congregation of Jerusalem and the Armenians of the Holy Land on the occasion of the Nativity and Theophany.
Let us add that the Armenian Church in the Holy Land celebrates the Day of Nativity and Theophany on the 18th or 19th of January.
