India Wants to Implement Multimodal Freight Forwarding through the Territory of Armenia
Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia Vahan Martirosyan received Shankar Shinde, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India.
The Indian businessman introduced the general characteristics and objectives of their activity and mentioned that they studied Armenia’s progress in the field of logistics in order of cooperation. He stressed out that they wanted to implement freight forwarding through the territory of Armenia from India to Iran and in other directions and expected the Ministry’s support in the mentioned activity, the official website of Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia reports.
Mr. Vahan Martirosyan informed that Armenia could ensure both road and rail multimodal freight forwarding not only to Russia but also to Europe. The Minister expressed reediness to support the process and contribute to the organization of the transport route.
