Armenia with Its Example Showed that Cooperation Between EU-EAEU Is Possible: RA President's Interview to Euronews (VIDEO)
"From the very beginning of the negotiations, our standing was that we can have both: the Association Agreement with the EU, and we also wanted a close integration with the Eurasian Economic Union," the RA President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview with Euronews.
In an answer to the question whether he sees a future of the Eurasian Economic Union as a match to the European Union, Sargsyan said: "I think it’s too early to talk about achieving equivalence; it would be better to talk about cooperation between the two blocs, and we, with our example showed that this is possible."
As for the cooperation with NATO, the RA President said: "I have just visited the NATO secretary general. I invited him to Armenia to celebrate our cooperation over the past 25 years. We don’t see any contradiction between this partnership and our alliance with Russia."
