Istanbul-Armenian Photographer Ara Guler Awarded with Honorary Prize at Turkey-Germany Film Festival

The Honorary Prize of the 22nd Turkey-Germany Film Festival has been awarded to world-famous Istanbul-Armenian photographer Ara Guler, Ermenihaber reports, referring to Karar.com Turkish media outlet.
The ceremony took place in German city Nuremberg.
While taking the stage to receive his award, Guler noted that photographing is not only the act of taking photos. According to him, a photographer should describe a situation and express ideas through the photos.
Guler's speech was followed by the screening of the documentary “The Eye of Istanbul”, which tells about the live and creative career of the renowned photographer.
