Co-Founder of Huffington Post's "Twitter Powerhouses Series": I Like How Armenians Use Twitter
Social media now gives the countries and people an opportunity to communicate more easily. Social media is very quick and it has today broken the walls, that separated countries from each other. This was declared by Sean Gardner , Co-founder of Huffington Post’s "Twitter Powerhouses Series" (USA) today in the World Communication Forum Davos, entitled "From Crisis to Development – Powered by Communication" taking place in Yerevan.
Talking about the role of social networks, particularly Twitter, Gardner said that Twitter is able to influence on people, it creates values adding that those creators are both individual users and all of them in general. Referring to the use of Twitter by Armenians, he said: "I like how Armenians use Twitter. They use very interesting and nice pictures and they want to show how beautiful landscape they have, how beautiful country Armenia is."
He also stressed the importance of using Hashtags in Twitter, because they help to find the subject you are searching for.
The moderator of the panel Samvel Martirosyan, head of Board, Institute for Strategic and Innovative Speakers in his turn added that the Hashtag of the forum is #WCFYerevan, advising the participants to use that Hashtag when writing anything about the Forum.
