Eight Armenian-American Received Ellis Island Medal of Honor

Eight Armenian-American received the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor during an official ceremony .
The National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, which awarded Varant Frank Melkonian, Dr. Garo M. Tertzakian, Ara Tekian, Joan Agajanian Quinn, Lucine Mardirosian, Harvey, Andy Andranik Madadian, Ruth Bedevian and Kurken Yetvart Berksanlar with medals of honor, Asbarez reports.
It is noted that they represent various professions, from businessmen and beginner physicist to painter who had their role in the development of society.
