Lightning Struck a Plane en route from Istanbul to Tbilisi

Lightning struck a plane of the Atlas Global airline, en route from Istanbul to Tbilisi, as a result, it was forced to return to Istanbul Ataturk Airport, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the statements of the passengers.
''15-20 minutes after takeoff we noticed a bright light, and then lightning struck the plane. After that the pilot experienced problems with control system and decided to turn back to the airport'', an eyewitness said.
According to another passenger, there were no injured people in the plane, but the aircraft itself was damaged, as a result, the pilot decided to return to the airport.
