NKR Defense Army Resorted to Retaliatory Actions Damaging the Firing Point of Azerbaijan Located in the Village of Alkhanlu

On Tuesday, July 4, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces continued violating the ceasefire regime at various parts of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border, the press service of the Artsakh Republic Defense Ministry reports.

In particular, at around 11:30-11:35 a.m. in the eastern direction the Azerbaijani side used 82 mm mortar (4 projectiles), in the same direction in the period from 12:45 to 12:55 a.m. the opponent used anti-tank grenade launcher (3 rounds), in the southern direction at 01:35 p.m. it used 60 mm mortar (3 rounds), at 07:10 p.m. - 60 mm mortar (2 projectiles).

At 08:20-08:30 p.m. from the firing point in the village of Alkhanlu, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces from the TR-107 MLRS (5 shells) opened fire in the direction of the posts of one of the military units stationed in the south. At 08:48 p.m. the opponent also used 82 mm mortar (3 rounds).

To suppress the offensive activity of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, the advanced units of the NKR Defense Army at about 08:31-08:40 p.m. were forced to resort to retaliatory actions, as a result of which damage was caused to the firing point located in the village of Alkhanlu. According to reliable data provided by the relevant services of the NKR, the opponent suffered losses.

As a result of the provocative actions of Azerbaijan, NKR Defense Army did not suffer losses.

"The responsibility for the consequences of what happened lies on the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan," the release said.
