Prime Minister Welcomes Caroline Cox-Led Delegation
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received a delegation led by Baroness Caroline Cox, member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated Caroline Cox’s pro-Armenian and humanitarian activities, as well as her efforts aimed at promoting the concept of equitable and fair resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the international arena.
Pointing to the recent years’ upward trends in Armenian-British relations, Karen Karapetyan highlighted the development of economic cooperation, the promotion of business contacts, including the organization of business forums. The head of the Armenian government said to have already discussed the prospects of bilateral economic relations with the British Ambassador to Armenia, adding that there are clear ideas for further steps to take in this area.
Evoking her numerous visits to Armenia and Artsakh, Baroness Cox said herself bound with strong ties of affection with the Armenian people. Highlighting the promotion of economic interaction between the United Kingdom and Armenia, the Baroness stressed the need for reinvigorating inter-parliamentary exchanges and reciprocating top-level visits. In conclusion, Caroline Cox expressed readiness to further support the Armenian people and contribute to the strengthening of Armenian-British ties.
