Putin and Merkel Condemn North Korea for Refusal to Recognize Latest UNSC Resolution
Russian President Vladimir Putin and German chancellor Angela Merkel has condemned in phone talks Pyongyang refusal to recognize latest resolution of the UN Security Council, Kremlin stated on Monday.
The Russian president and the German chancellor said that the actions of North Korea contradict with principles of non-proliferation, threaten regional peace and security, the Kremlin statement said.
Putin and Merkel has also reaffirmed that the Korean peninsula crisis could be resolved only through negotiations, the statement read, Sputnik News reports.
The two leaders also called for resumption of talks between all sides involved in the conflict.
