The EAEU Has Certain Interests in Iran
The EAEU has seven vectors for the development of external relations, China is on the first place. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has already concluded the substantive part of Trade and Economic Agreement with China and handed the agreement to the five countries of the EAEU to agree with them.
This was announced today at the 12th international conference "Eurasian Integration: Stagnation or Development?" organized by the Eurasian Development Bank, by Tigran Sargsyan, the Chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
"We see the development of external relations as an opportunity to expand our economic space," he said.
Speaking about the process of expanding ties with important countries for the EAEU, Tigran Sargsyan also talked about the creation of a free trade zone with Iran. "In terms of content, we also completed negotiations with Iran, the trade turnover has increased many times, our businessmen see the possibilities of investment. It is obvious that we have interests there," Sargsyan said.
He positively assessed the implementation of the Agreement on a free trade zone with Vietnam, the next direction is Singapore. The remaining priorities are India, Egypt and Israel.
