Armenia Again Leads the European Chess Championship
At the European Chess Championship Armenia moved to shared first place thanks to a 2.5-1.5 win vs. the Netherlands, Chess.com reports.
Armenia's win was decided on the lower two boards, where Gabriel Sargissian outwitted his opponent in the opening and Hrant Melkumyan was the better calculator vs Ivan Sokolov.
Levon Aronian held Anish Giri (the Netherlands) to a draw.
