Spanish Prosecutor Requests Arrest Warrants for Former Catalan Leaders

The Spanish prosecutor has requested an arrest warrant for ex-Catalonia leader Carles Puigdemont and four former high-ranking officials, Sputnik News reports, referring to El Pais.
The move comes as the former Catalan leader who is currently in Belgium has failed to appear in court.
The former leaders of the region have been requested to appear before ''the court over rebellion, sedition and embezzlement of state funds charges''.
