After tests of nuclear missiles at North Korean polygon Pangiri, local people began to have children with pathologies. This is reported by the South Korean edition of Chosun Ilbo with reference to the stories of Pangiri inhabitants.

"A relative living in this region said that cases of the birth of children with mutations were recorded in the maternity hospitals," one of the interlocutors of the newspaper said.

According to another one, as a result of the tests, the radiation penetrated into the groundwater. Some sources have dried up, and local residents are afraid of using water from other sources in everyday needs.

Another man who escaped from Pangiri in 2010 said that he survived two tests performed there: "During the first nuclear test (October 2006) and the second one (May 2009), only the members of military families were evacuated, they were hid in underground. While the local residents did not know anything about preparing those tests."
