Colombian Police Seized a Record Batch of Cocaine of 12 tons

Police in Colombia intercepted a 12-ton batch of cocaine worth about $ 360 million, Interfax reported citing the Colombian radio station Karakol.
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos called this event the largest seizure of a consignment of drugs in the history of the country.
Prohibited substances were found on one of the farms covered with banana leaves. About 400 police officers involved in the fight against drug trafficking took part in the drug seizure operation.
Authorities noted that the cocaine belonged to the cartel "Clan del Golfo" - an armed group that controls the black drug market in regions formerly occupied by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
