Appeals Court Places Saakashvili Under House Arrest at Nighttime

Court of appeals has partly granted the prosecutor's office application on a preventive measure for Mikheil Saakashvili, former Governor of Odessa Oblast, grounding him with house arrest at night, Frontnews reports.

“Apply to Mikheil Nikolayevich Saakashvili, on December 21st, 1967, the restraint measures namely house arrest in a certain period of the day, namely from 10 p.m to 7:00 a.m. the following day - at the address: Kyiv, Kostelnaya street, house 7 apartment 32,” – the  judge of Court of Appeal voiced the verdict.

Ruslan Chernolutsky, the counsel of the Mikheil Saakashvili, former Governor of Odessa Oblast, said that the document submitted by the Prosecutor General's Office to the Court of Appeal for a Saakashvili preventive measure could not be considered an appeal.
