Macron Urges Erdogan to Respect Ceasefire in Syria
The call by UN Security Council to respect ceasefire in Syria also refers to Afrin, president of France Emmanuel Macron said during a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Macron said the humanitarian pause is spreading all over Syria, including Afrin, and it should be carried out everywhere and by everyone. He urged to immediately stop the ongoing spiral of violence that could lead to a regional explosion.
President of France also expressed concern over recent developments off the coast of Cyprus, stressing the need to respect the sovereignty of Cyprus.
