UN Warns Risk of Violent Escalation in Middle East

The situation in the Middle East threatens international peace and security, said Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the UN Security Council meeting on Friday, AP reported.
The Middle East is in such peril today that it has become a threat to international peace and security, said the UK secretary general adding that there are risks of “escalation, fragmentation and division as far as the eye can see with profound regional and global ramifications.”
