Macron: US Metal Tariffs were Both Mistake and Illegal
French President Emmanuel Macron told his US counterpart Donald Trump that the US tariffs on metal imports were both mistake and illegal, French President office said after Macron telephoned Trump on Friday.
In the coming weeks, the European Union plans to respond and introduce duties on US steel and food products, Reuters reported.
According to Macron, the EU will reposed in proportional manner corresponding to the World Trade Organization regulations.
