Fallen Pilots Laid to Rest at Yerevan Military Pantheon

The pilots who died in Tuesday’s crash of a fighter plane Lieutenant Colonel Armen Babayan and Major Movses Manukyan were laid to rest at Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan on Saturday, NEWS.am reports.

“It is a great loss, and the words of comfort are useless. Everyone takes the decision to serve his homeland on his own. And they made that decision. Each flight is heroism,” said Artak Davtyan, Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Focres.

The ceremony was also attended by acting Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan.

A Sukhoi Su-25 fighter aircraft of the Armenian Air Force crashed Tuesday morning nearby Maralik town in Shirak Province, and while conducting a training flight.
