Armenia Losing the Opportunity to Show Historical Ani from its Territory: Lapshin

Russian-Israeli blogger Alexander Lapshin expressed regret for not managing to enter historical Armenian capital Ani, which is currently on the territory of Turkey,  also noting that ''the Armenians are losing a magnificent tourist attraction''.

''The problem is that the Soviet-time gate stretches 3km-4km away from the real border, and there is a military base stationed there. Nobody is allowed to step across it, whereas they could take buses with tourists there, giving the local residents the opportunity to earn money a little bit,'' wrote Lapshin on Facebook.
