Grand Swiss: Armenian Chess Players’ Results
Levon Aronyan scored the best result among Armenian representatives at the FIDE Chess.com Grand Swiss held in the British Isle of Man. The leading player of the Armenia chess team scored 7,5 points in 11 rounds and shared the 3-8th places.
Hrant Melkumyan and Robert Hovhannisyan ended the tournament with 6,5 points each, Gabriel Sargsyan and Vladimir Hakobyan - with 6 points each, Sergei Movsesyan gained 5,5 points, Karen Movsisyan – 4,5 points and Elina Danielyan – 4 points.
Chinese Wang Hao came first with 8 points overcoming USA’s Fabiano Caruana in additional criteria and also qualified for the Candidates Tournament.
