Parliament Votes for Arrest of Armenia’s Opposition Party Leader Gagik Tsarukyan
Armenia’s NA voted for the arrest of the leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan, Aysor.am reports.
Eighty-seven deputies of My Step faction backed the motion.
The request for arrest has been presented by the Attorney General Artur Davtyan.
Davtyan said being in freedom Tsarukyan may try to impede the investigation processes.
Only My Step faction deputies participated in the voting.
Bright Armenia and PAP factions refused to participate.
